He led a happy, active life filled with family, friends, and activities such as woodworking, traveling, restoring his beloved 1956 Chevrolet, and rooting for local sports teams. He was a draftsman and then nuclear engineer at General Electric for 35 years before his retirement.
He was born to Wesley and Peggy Perry in Sonoma County, California on September 13, 1942. He grew up in Menlo Park and graduated from Menlo Atherton High School and San Jose State University.
In 1965, Richard married neighbor girl Letty Teschner. They had three daughters, Kristina, Shawn, and Erika.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Letty; his brother Tony Perry; and his daughters and their husbands: Kristina Jaime (Salvador Jaime Jr.), Shawn Allen (Jason Allen) and Erika Oeverndiek (Bryan Oeverndiek). Also, grandchildren Marissa Jaime, Dakota Jaime, Natalie Allen, and Nathan Allen.
Devoted to his family, his memory will forever be a blessing. Private services were held.
