Maria Haro

Maria Haro, age 91, loving mother of five, passed away peacefully in the mid hours of February 11th at her residence in Madera, CA surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Maria was born in 1930 in El Ojo de Agua Sombrerete Zacatecas Mexico and grew up surrounded by her six siblings and her parents. Maria was influenced by her family to be independent and diligent. Her perseverance brought her to San Jose, CA in the late 1960’s, she found labor and in due course brought her children with her. After being a single mother for so long, love found her. Maria married her husband Federico Haro in the late 1980’s. They instantly fell in love and knew they both shared a love for family. In her free time, Maria loved plants, gardening, and cooking. She was an avid bingo player who enjoyed casino outings. She enjoyed the company of her dearest friends, always engaging in a great conversation.

Maria is survived by her four children Graciela, Abel-Rodolfo, Hilda, and Pedro.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in Chapel of Roses at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
