Lupe Isabel Savala Estavillo

Guadalupe “Lupe” Savala Estavillo of San Jose, CA, age 96, passed away Tuesday, November 1st, 2022. She was born on December 30, 1925, daughter of the late Anastacio and Maria Savala. Some might even say she was the life of the party because she was born so close to New Years.

Lupe is survived by her daughter Eleanor Estavillo, son Eddie Estavillo of San Jose; grandchildren Eddie Jr, Michelle, Robert Jr, Lavonne, Megan, Paula, Elaine, Taylor; great grandchildren Paulina, Nestor Jr, Michael, Javier, Robert III, Emma, Isabella, Annelyse, Andrew, Mari, Michael, Ashley, Paige, Lavina, Jasmine, and six great-great grandchildren. Lupe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Eddie Estavillo), her son (Gilbert), sisters (Barbra, Deloris, Dora) and countless other loved ones.

Everyone who knew Lupe loved her. She had a big heart and giving nature. She was a forgiving person. One of her favorite sayings was “hate the sin but love the sinner”. She will be missed especially by her grandchildren/great grandchildren, with whom she spent countless hours taking care of, chasing, playing cards and numerous other activities. She was a huge fan of the 49ers. She was also a huge fan of our family being together for holidays, parties, etc.…, She loved reading her Bible, card games, puzzles, sewing blankets for the new babies or old ones, crocheting, dancing- the list goes on and on.

A funeral service will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, Cali, on Wednesday, November 23rd. The viewing is from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM: graveside from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM.

The family would like to thank all our family and friends for their support and prayers, specifically Eleanor, Michelle, Paulina, Robert Jr, Rosa, who took care of grandma prior to her passing, and made her feel very loved.
