Louis James Schneider Jr.

Louis James Schneider Jr., age 77, passed away on the morning of November 21, 2021 in San Jose, CA. Lou was born on July 29, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from UMBC with a degree in Economics. He later moved to El Cerrito where he worked for the US Bureau of Labor Statistics for 40 years.

Louis is survived by his wife, Suong; his loving nieces and nephews Victoria, Eric, and Alex Luong, and Frank, and Alex McGough.; He also left behind his dear siblings Fred Schneider and Linda McGough. He is preceded in death by his sister Beverly; his father, Louis Sr., and his mother, Oneida.

Louis was known as a loving husband, friend, brother, and uncle. He married Suong in 1994 and left behind no children, but loved and cared for his nieces and nephews as such.

Louis loved spending his free time playing Words with Friends and rooting for bay area sport teams as well as teams from his hometown Baltimore, Maryland. He donated to charities, loved watching Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and Jeopardy! and had a love for learning American History. He also was a big fan of SciFi movies like King Kong and sitcoms such The Big Bang Theory. His family and friends will always remember him as "Little Lou" and “Uncle Lou”.

A visitation for Louis will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 17, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. A witness cremation will occur Friday, December 17, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
