Lan Xuan Bui

Lan Bui (Joseph Bui Xuan Lan), age 95, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022 in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was born in Hung Yen, Vietnam, the son of Bui Huong Lang and Chu Thi Hoa. Lan was a devoted father and husband. He was well known by friends and family for his love of literature, music, and sense of humor. Most of all he was well known for his love of his late wife, Hattie Bui (Maria Nguyễn Thị Nhật), who passed away on February 12, 2021 after her struggle with Alzheimer, after 67 years of marriage.

He is survived by his children, Ryan Bui (Catharine Phillips), Christina Bui Preisig (Richard Ziemba), Mai Nacht (Thomas Nacht), Mary Bui-Pham (Hung D. Pham) and Tho Bui-deceased (Daira Legzdina). He left a generation of grandchildren that will absolutely miss him, Gabrielle Bui, Alexander Preisig (Nicole Preisig), Jennifer Nacht, Carrie Nacht (Mick Harrington), Roanna Pham, and Emma Pham. He also loved being a great-grandfather to Everly Preisig and Luke Preisig.

Arrangements for his funeral will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022 with a viewing at Oak Hill Funeral Home, followed by a Requiem Mass at Most Holy Trinity Church. In lieu of flowers, please say a prayer or request Mass offerings at any Catholic church for Hattie.
