Kim Hai Thi Le was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Kim Em will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Kim Em was born on February 14, 1946 at Cho Lon, Sai Gon, Viet nam in Cho Lon, Sai Gon, Viet nam. She was the daughter of Le Van Thinh & Dang Thi Cao. Kim Em grew up in Rach Cat, Sai Gon, Vietnam.
Kim Em was raised with twelve siblings. She had one older sister, Kim Anh and eleven younger brothers and sisters. Kim Em was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Kim Em had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Nguyen Ba Tong, Sai Gon in 1964. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. Her favorite class in high school was Nursing class. Nursing class.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Kim Em enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. While growing up, some of her best friends were Phan Thi Kim Hoang (o Rach Cat) and Nguyen Thi Qui (o Bao An). Later in life, she became friends with Phan Thi Kim Hoang and Nguyen Thi Qui.
On 1968 Kim Em exchanged wedding vows with Duong Trong Duc at At residence: 33 Hoang Si Khai ben Binh Dong, quan 8 of Binh Dong, quan 8 Sai Gon, Viet Nam. Empathic and loyal, Kim Em was committed to making her new family happy.
Kim Em worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Kim Em was blessed with four children, two sons, Duong Trong My (Michael) and Duong Trong Minh and two daughters, Duong Thi My Loan and Duong Thi My Linh. Another blessing for Kim Em was the gift of seven grandchildren, Annie, Brian, Calvin, Darren, Eric, Lilian, and Pauline.
Fortunately, Kim Em enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Kim Em worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was nursing. She was employed for 2 years by Dong Nai bank. Kim Em always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Kim Em enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were cooking, TV watching, and shopping. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Kim Em enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Las Vegas, Hawaii.
Kim Em passed away on February 10, 2012 at Valley Medical Center, San Jose, Ca. Kim Em fought a brave battle against leukemia. She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Services were held at Oak Hill Funeral Service. Kim Em was laid to rest in temple of San Jose, Ca.
Simply stated, Kim Em was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Kim Em leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Kim Hai Thi Le.
