Joe was born in Utica NY, the son of Joseph C Manore and Dorothy Marie (Van Nort) Manore. He grew up in a family of 10 in Frankfort, NY where love and chaos knew no bounds.
After high school, Joe joined the US Navy where he discovered his love for the ocean, as well as the tool and machine trade. Following his military service, Joe married his high school sweetheart Elizabeth "Betty" Manore and moved to Redondo Beach, CA where he started a career in tool design and they raised three children.
Joe followed his tool passion as a successful automotive tool business owner for 15 years. In his free time, he volunteered for youth activities and developed expertise as a home improvement handyman. He coached his children's baseball and soccer teams. He shared his love of camping and fishing during many family trips. He was most happy sharing his knowledge with others, laughing and having fun with friends and family.
Joe is survived by three children and their spouses; Scott Manore, Brian Manore & daughter-in-law Susana Baute, Dianne & son-in-law Randy Strawser; siblings Dorothy & Hank Phillips, Michael & Suzanne Manore, Susan & John Migliore, Loretta & Steve Teri, Margaret Van Slyke; six grandchildren, Breanna, Greg, Corey Joseph, Mitchel, Elisha and Jaydon; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers; John "Jack" Manore and Robert Manore.
The family would like to thank the VA Palo Alto Medical Center Hospice Unit for providing world-class care with grace and dignity for our US military veterans.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.willowglenfuneralhome.com for the Manore family.
