Frank Lico was 93 years-old when he passed on February 4, 2023. His life started on Ford Avenue in San Jose with his parents Mary and Pasquale and siblings Dolly and Fred. Many friendships were developed in the neighborhood, which he maintained throughout his life. After busy teenage years he met and married Carmen Giannotti, lovingly known as "Dolly." Frank and Dolly were married for over 60 years. He nurtured his four children, Linda Lico, Robert Lico (wife Salli), Patricia Guidace (husband John) and Lisa Lico. He played and laughed with his grandchildren Linnea Nichols (Alexander), Brent Lico, Ashley Guidace, Samantha and Elise de Kay and Tyler Guidace, who left us too early.
Frank excelled in sports and became a baseball hall of famer at Santa Clara University. He continued his athletic career by coaching little league in Willow Glen and attempting golf, which forever frustrated him. He enjoyed many years of working and spending time with his parents, uncles, aunts and cousins at the family-owned San Martin Winery. He continued working for family when he took on a role at Dolly's father's real estate business. From there he moved on to work with his children at Giannotti Inc. He was active in all decision-making until his passing.
Frank was most happy at home, having evening appetizers with Dolly, watching sports on TV, growing his figs and tomatoes and meeting friends for lunch or dinner. His kids are thankful for the time they have had with him and acknowledge that a lot of who they are came from Frank. A special thanks goes out to CeCe, Pele and Agnes who helped support him until his death.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Lima Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose. The family will have a private burial the following day.
