Mr. Daniel J. Ramos

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, Reverend Daniel Jessie Ramos, loving Husband to Gertrude Ramos & Father of Melvin L. Ramos, Nathan P. Ramos, Diane L. Costas and Richard D. Ramos passed away at age 93.

Daniel was born on July 19, 1929, in Hayward, CA to Antonio and Alberta Ramos. He had 4 siblings, Manuel Ramos, Kenneth Ramos, Haddie Simpson & Antonio Ramos who have all gone home before him.

Daniel also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Before going into the Air Force, he Married Gertrude Lopez who he met at La Puente Bible School. They had just celebrated their 73rd Wedding Anniversary on September 25th, 2022.

Daniel had a passion for servitude and a love for God. His commitment was unwavering. He lived his life with example. He was a Servant and was always ready to help those in need. A True Prayer WARRIOR! He served as a Pastor @ Primera Iglesia for a little more than 25 years and also served as Presbyter for the San Jose section for 13 years.

He enjoyed camping. He enjoyed taking his family and church members on annual camping trips. These camping trips consisted of good food, great fellowship, skits, and lots of laughs. He had a great love for his children, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed all of his time with his siblings, nieces, and nephews. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial at 6:30 PM Flowers or donations may be sent to Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial, 300 Curtner Ave San Jose, Ca. 95125 The Burial will be held @ 10:00 AM Monday, October 24th.
