Andrew G. Trapani, age 85, passed away from heart complications Nov. 28, 2016 in San Jose, Calif. Andrew was born Feb. 22, 1931, in San Jose, to Joseph and Eleanor Trapani. He was a graduate of Bellarmine College Preparatory, attended Santa Clara University, and was a Korean War veteran.
Andy, as his closest friends and relatives knew him, always wore his warm heart and love on his sleeve. Adored by his family and friends, Andy was best known for his kind eyes, work ethic, strong handshake, distinct mustache, love of food, green thumb, Sicilian demeanor, and love of friends and family. If you met Andy once, you would never forget him.
Andy is succeeded by his wife June (Cina) Trapani; four children, Thomas (Celine) Trapani, Bruce Trapani, June E. Trapani, and Katherine (Robert) Lundstrom; grandchildren Andrew R. (Andreana) Trapani and Ryan (Lauren) Trapani; and great-granddaughter Lila Nancy Trapani. He is also survived by brother Joseph Trapani and first cousin Babe Trapani. Predeceased by parents Joseph Sr. and Eleanor Trapani and brothers Marko and David Trapani.
The celebration of Andy’s life will be held Dec. 16 at Saint Christopher Church in San Jose at 11 a.m.
