It breaks my heart to hear about the recent events regarding your son Alex. While I’m not in the process of joining Kappa Sigma anymore, I feel as though this stretches beyond that. In the months that I had spent time with your son I truly learned what it was like to become close with someone who was nothing short of a perfect, amazing individual. Whether it was just saying hi to me on campus or getting food with him and the other brothers your son always knew how to put a smile on our faces. His ability to light up a room with his smile gave us all comfort and made us realize that you raised an outright incredible person. Dear Tom Magee,
This is Dylan Naber the GMC of Rho-Delta for the 2022-23 term. I first met Alex during a very stressful rush week and every time I talked to him he always had a contagious smile about him that brightened the room. Through the little time I met Alex, I was able to have some genuine memories with him. One of my favorite ones was when he told me about how much he liked thrifting. Me and his big, Mena, took him to all the thrifting spots I knew here in Northridge and we were able to find some really cool stuff together. I’m glad I was able to meet Alex and spend some time with him through his little time here in Northridge. I wish his time here wasn’t cut short as he was on his way to be an outstanding brother of this fraternity and I know the rest of my brothers feel the same way. The newly elected GMC and I are trying to get him initiated as a Brother here at Rho-Delta. I’m in talks with our District Grand Master about making it happen. I last saw Alex in June for my engagement party. He had plans with friends, and Tommy said he probably would not show up, but Alex showed up for 5 minutes to say hi and congratulations. So incredibly thoughtful. I will miss his smile, laugh, and kindness. No one could light up a room like him and make you feel as important and special.

Alex was the epitome of what it was to be a gentleman, as well as one of the most kind and caring friends. Knowing him is an honor. He never failed to light up a room with his smile, and always managed to crack a joke at any given point. His talent was endless, as was his kindness.

Both of them are no longer with us. They departed this world at a very young age, leaving an irreplaceable void in the lives of their families and those who knew them.

I remember teaching music to Alex at Booksin. He was such a cute and charming kid! I really enjoyed seeing him in class every week. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of him is his friendly, genuine smile. Sending everyone who knew and loved him love and hugs.

Tom and Maggie, John and Miranda, we are so very sadden to hear this of Alex’s passing.  Alex, such a beautiful young man.  Our memories of Alex in the early years playing soccer with Natasha, and their voices saying “pass, Natasha (or) Alex, pass!”  Our heart breaks for all who were blessed to have known him. I haven't seen or talked to Alex for years, yet his smile is engraved in my memory. He commented on a photo I posted this year, and it led to a wave of fond memories we had. He was bright, personable, and so kind. When we were young, his energy was infectious, and I doubt that it ever changed. I will be forever blessed to have known him and to have called him a friend.
