Rose Marie Gomez

Rose Marie Gomez passed away at the age of 76 on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in Irvine, California. She was born to Aurelio Ramirez and Mary Martha (Cortez) Ramirez on Thursday, January 29, 1948, in Whittier, California, and was raised by Miguel and Mary Martha Vega. She was one of 11 children.

Rose was married to the love of her life, Jaime, and they were blessed with 49 wonderful years of marriage. She was an amazing wife and dedicated mother. Rose was also blessed with three children who later made her a grandmother and great-grandmother.

In her spare time, she enjoyed singing, spending time with her family, and, of course, her frequent trips to the casino. One thing was for sure: her love for her family and friends was immeasurable.

Rose is survived by her loving husband, Jaime Gomez; her caring children, Mario (Anjanette) Maldonado, Norberto (Sumer) Gomez, and Jaime Jr. (Melissa) Gomez; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Carmen Ramos, Mike Vega, James Ramirez, Rosario Vega, Sara Vega, Rosa Gomez, and Helen Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Mary Martha Vega, and Aurelio Ramirez; and her siblings, Jessie Torres-Castillo, Celia Ramos, and Bobby Vega.
