Jeffrey Brian Martinez

Jeffrey was born on October 1, 1981 in Pasadena, California to Juan and Maria (Mireles) Martinez. When he was a child, the family moved to Napa, California. He received his Bachelors Degree in film from the University of California Irvine in 2004. Jeffrey also obtained a Verified Certificate of Achievement for completing the course The Rise of the Superheroes and Their Impact on Pop Culture.

Jeffrey had a deep passion for comics and movies. He worked in the entertainment industry for over 16 years. Soon after his cancer diagnosis on February 2018 he decided to fight it by running everyday. He loved doing it so much that he ran two 5K races at Universal Studios in April and November 2019. He was an avid collector of comics and superheroes T-shirts and Figurines. Jeffrey was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. He loved to cheer for his beloved San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving parents and his brother Jason. A mass will be held Saturday February 29, 2020 at San Gabriel Mission at 10:00am. Reception to follow at Pierce Brothers Turner & Stevens 1136 E. Las Tunas Dr. San Gabriel, CA 91776
