Victor Ronquillo Natalaray

Victor “Vic” Natalaray died peacefully at his home on February 8, 2024 in San Marcos, California at the age of 84, surrounded by his wife, Elsidita and four living children (Aileen, Nolan, Virgil, Jenilee) and children-in-law (Roland, Cheryl, Charisse). Victor Natalaray was born on March 20, 1939 in Kawait, Cavite, Philippines to Marcellino and Lotgarda Natalaray. He graduated from Letran University with a degree in Banking and Finance. He married Elsidita Aranas in 1967. After moving to the United States, Victor began working at various companies including San Diego Trust Bank. Ultimately, he began his 28 year career at the United States Postal Service, as a mail carrier. He is survived by his daughters, Aileen and Jenilee; his sons, Nolan and Virgil; and seven grandchildren, Sarah, Victoria, Ayden, Alex, Kayelynn, Raiden, and Roman. He is preceded in death by his son, Rembrant and his granddaughter, Khloe, who died in infancy.

He was known to his children as “Dod” and his grandchildren as “Poot-Poot”, “Grandpa” and “Papa”. He is most remembered by his beaming smile and his vibrant and elaborate story telling. Vic was an intelligent man and valued family greatly. He loved to laugh and joke with anyone he was around.

A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, from 4pm - 8pm at Pacific Beach La Jolla Chapel (4710 Cass Street, San Diego, CA 92109). Mass and funeral will be held on the following day, Thursday, February 22. Mass will be at 12pm at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (8160 Gold Coast Dr, San Diego, CA 92126) and officiated by Father John followed by burial at 1:30pm at El Camino Memorial Park (5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121). Funeral Arrangements are provided by Pacific Beach La Jolla Chapel and El Camino Memorial Park. Reception to follow at Summit Point Church (10770 Rickert Rd, San Diego, CA 92126).
