Larson and Jennie Juanita Clayson. His Paternal Grandparents immigrated
from Sweden, and his maternal Grandparents immigrated from England.
Vern is survived by: Leon Larson, Maurine Mackie, Eldon Larson. A loving
and devoted wife of 54 years Anna Larson , and daughter Bella Lapuaho,
husband Art, Grandson Cameron, Granddaughters Tatiana, and Sisilia. Vern is also survived
by a host of nieces and nephews.
Vern started his career working as a salesman, and trainer for Encyclopedia
Britannica. Always a top salesman as he was a people person from early on
in his life.
Vern worked at the City of San Diego as heavy equipment operator for 26
years receiving awards for numerous achievements.
Vern worked for Bob Stall Chevrolet after retirement and was working for
them up to October 2020. All the while also working for Enviromatrix
Analytical.
Vern was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints
where he was a valiant servant to the end.
His church callings of services included:
1st counselor in the Bishopric of University City Branch, where he was able
to deepen his testimony of love for the gospel.
His other calling was as a Sunday School Teacher where he was known as
“Grandpa Larson”
Above all, he was an ordained Temple Worker.
Vern deemed all these positions as his sanctuary especially during this world
of turmoil.
Vern’s passion for life was the most fun for all of his students, grandkids, nieces
and nephews. He was just fun! He will always be known as a “Big Kid”
