Sam Van Duong

Sam V. Duong peacefully passed away on November 08, 2020, in San Diego, CA at the age of 90. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. This gentle, loving, caring, and wonderful man has left a permanent mark on our hearts and will be supremely missed by his wife of 66 years, Nhut, his six children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. His life was well lived and he was well-loved by everyone. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Sam will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace, and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us.

All are welcome for visitation to take place at Cypress View Mortuary on Thursday, November 19, 2020, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm & Friday, November 20, 2020 from 10:00 am -1:00 pm.

A Traditional Buddhist service will be celebrated at Cypress View Mortuary on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 1:00 pm.

Due to COVID-19, the family will limit the burial service viewing to immediate family members only.

We the family are not taking any flowers or monetary donations. However, we would greatly appreciate it if you can say a prayer for our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather’s soul to be at ease and rest in peace on his journey to heaven.
