Robert Ray Bell II was born July 16, 1965 and died May 14, 2018. He was 52 years old and is survived by his parents David and Socorro Ayala, wife Barbara Bell, 5 children of four girls and one boy, and 4 soon to be 5 grandchildren. He grew up in San Diego and made his home in Lemon Grove with his family. He worked as a tree trimmer for the University of California, San Diego but his passion was for his family and friends. Nothing was more important to him than his family. He instilled in his children the value of hard work, honesty, and love. His door was always open to anyone in need of help or a friend. He loved the challenge of scaling a large tree knowing his reward at the top was to take in the view it provided. He would tell his children and grandchildren stories of climbing and trimming large 80’-100’ trees. When he wasn’t working or with family he enjoyed reading, playing the harmonica and gardening. Though he was humble in his own ways the love and devotion to his family never went unnoticed. His smile and laughter will be missed but forever in our memories and hearts.
