Mary Ann Joyce

Mary A. age 61 of La Mesa, CA, died suddenly on Saturday Jan. 16. Beloved daughter of the late Barbara E. (Costello) Joyce and William J Joyce Sr. of Norwood MA. Loving sister of William Joyce Jr. and his wife Mary Beth of Norwood MA, Thomas Joyce and his wife Beth of San Diego CA, Paul Joyce and his wife Fran of Sturbridge MA, and Eileen Rich and her husband David of Upton, MA. Loving aunt of Stefanie Joyce of Norwood MA, Patrick Joyce of JOYCE, Westminster CO, Dillon Joyce of Palo Alto CA, Tayla Joyce of San Diego CA, Sean Joyce of Arlington VA, Bridget and Kerry Joyce of Sturbridge MA, and Declan and Elyse Rich of Upton MA. Mary graduated from Brandeis University with a dual degree in psychology and sociology. An avid learner, she continued her education receiving first a masters in social worker from Simmons School of Social Work and then in 1997 a MBA from Northeastern University. Working in the mental health arena most of her career, Mary was an advocate for mental health issues. She will be dearly missed. A celebration of her life will be held at 3pm Feb 14th.
