Mary-Frances Reilly, was born September 12, 1953 to Henry (Harry) and Marie Reilly in Bronx, New York. She passed away peacefully at her home in Spring Valley, San Diego, CA on December 3, 2024, after a long battle with kidney disease.
When Mary- Frances was a teenager she and her family relocated from the Bronx, NY to San Diego, CA.
Mary-Frances was a flight attendant for 38 years. She began her career in 1974 with her hometown airline Pacific Southwest Airlines, PSA. In 1988, PSA was purchased by USAirways and Mary-Frances continued to fly with USAirways until her retirement in 2012. She loved PSA and continued to fight for a permanent memorial at the 1978 crash site of Flight 182 in North Park, San Diego. Mary-Frances lost many friends and colleagues that day and was passionate that a memorial be placed at “ground zero”. Fortunately, Mary-Frances saw her dream realized in September 2024.
Mary-Frances will be remembered as a kind, caring soul who always loved a good debate on a variety of subjects. She was intelligent and well read, making for lively conversations. She was beloved and will be missed. Mary-Frances is survived by many friends and family who loved her dearly.
