She was born at home on February 20th, 1927 at 1164 54th St. in Brooklyn, New York to John (Giovanni) and Rose Ciliberti.
She met her future husband Gerald (Genoroso) Anthony Roca when she was 13 years old and he was 14. Their love was so great, they never dated anyone else.
They were married when she was 19 and he was 20 on December 1st, 1946 at St. Frances de Chantel in Brooklyn, New York.
She worked in international banking on Wall St. for a number of years while living in New York City. Later, after she moved to Long Island, New York, she worked in insurance and retail.
She left New York in March 1970 with her family to live in San Diego, CA when the Brooklyn Navy Yard Electronics Laboratory where her husband had worked transferred operations to Point Loma Naval (underwater) Operations Center. She lived in her dream house for almost 48 years and passed away in that home, as she wished.
Always, the most important thing in her life was her family. The most loving, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she is survived, remembered and cherished by her 3 children; Connie, Steven and Gerald; her 5 grandchildren; Angela, Gerald John, Albert , Vince & Eva Marie as well as her 6 great-grandchildren; Gabriel, Dominic, Gianna, TJ, Zoe and Lucy.
May she rest in peace with all the people she loved that went before her and we await the day we will all be together again for that big Italian dinner in heaven.
