Lisa June Parkinson

April 7, 1974 - December 25, 2017

Lisa June (Fricano) Parkinson, age 43, passed away, unexpectedly, Christmas Day. She leaves behind her husband Matt and two daughters Sienna (age 6) and Mia (age 4).

Born in Glendale, Wisconsin, Lisa received Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Recreation from Indiana University, Bloomington. She received her MBA from University of Denver. At the time of her death, Lisa was employed by the U.S. Navy (SPAWAR) as a budget financial manager. Lisa lived life to the fullest. She was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed snowboarding, surfing, golfing and biking. Lisa loved travel, was a creative artist and marvelous cook. In addition, she held a single engine aircraft pilot’s license. Lisa was a loving wife and devoted mother who put her family above all else.

In addition to her husband and daughters, Lisa leaves behind her brother James (Gail) Fricano, brother-in-law Aaron (Fabia) Parkinson, parents in-law Jeff and Jan Parkinson, nieces and nephew Audrey and Amelia Fricano and Benjamin and Vivian Parkinson. She is predeceased by her parents, Anthony and June Fricano.

A celebration of Lisa’s life is planned for a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pacific Beach-La Jolla Chapel.
