Mr. Lawrence Christian Fezer

Lawrence C Fezer, 83, San Diego, died on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his home surrounded by his children. Larry was born on June 13, 1939 in Wauwatosa, WI to Bernard and Verna (Witt) Fezer. Larry moved to San Diego, CA with his family in the 1950’s. Larry attended First United Methodist Church where he met the love of his life, Nancy L Hass. They married and had 3 daughters before her passing on June 10, 1985. He worked at Rohr Industries for his entire career of 43 years. Larry had a love for history and was a wealth of knowledge. He enjoyed collecting antiques, whale oil lamps, military memorabilia, civil war firearms and swords. He enjoyed going to the El Cajon and La Mesa car shows. He was an avid coin and watch collector. He was a member of the Chula Vista Coin Club, the Watch Club and the Bottle Club.

Larry is survived by his two sons: Lawrence C Fezer Jr, and Richard W (Melissa) Fezer; two daughters: Holly T Fezer, and Heidi L (Jay) Baer; grandchildren: Kelsey Brown, Jillian Fezer, Zachary Brown, Jordan Fezer, and Jenna Fezer. He is further survived by his sister: Merry Kruzynski and brother: Bernard Fezer, Jr.; sister-in-law: Helen Fezer. His brother-in-law: Robert (Jane) Hass; sister-in-law: Polly Hass; as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bernard and Verna Fezer; his wife: Nancy Fezer; brother: Paul Fezer; brother-in-law: Douglas Hass; and daughter: Heather K Fezer.

A viewing and funeral service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held at Cypress View Mausoleum, 3953 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92113 with Rev. Tamara Walker officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend both services. The viewing will be Monday, October 10, 2022 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm in the chapel. Funeral service is at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in the chapel.
