MEYER, Kathleen Waldron a retired IBM Manager, died peacefully on Easter Sunday April 16, 2017 in San Diego, California. Kay was born in New York City on December 28, 1933. She married her childhood sweetheart Alfred R Meyer on October 4, 1952. After high school Kay worked as an FBI stenographer and was later hired by IBM. Kay was always dedicated to the Catholic Church and her parishes, including the Altar Society, Cursillo, Interfaith and youth ministries. After retiring Kay and her husband traveled the world and continued to grow in their love of each other, their family and God. Long Beach Island was her residence of choice until she spent an increasing amount of time in San Diego to assist with the care of her grandson with autism. She is survived by her son Al and wife Jill; her daughter, Patricia; and three grandsons she adored, Brian Robert, Robert Frederick, and Shawn Tyler. Kay was the oldest of seven and is survived by her sister Ann Dong and brothers Patrick Waldron (and wife Julia), James Waldron (and wife Noreen), and Martin Waldron. Kay was loved by her nieces and nephews, Anne Marie Liebler, Jerry Waldron, James Meyer, Patty Carol Egan, Ed Meyer, Jeanne Waldron Scholz, Merrily Waldron, Chris Waldron, Jonathon Dong, K.C. Waldron, Danielle Dong Haberkern, Thomas Waldron, Brandon Waldron, and Patrick Waldron, as well as their spouses and children. In lieu of flowers Kay requested donations to The San Diego County Chapter-Autism Society of America P.O. Box 420908 San Diego, CA 92142-0908. Rosary will be said on Friday April 28, 2017 at 10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent's de Paul Church (Mission Hills). Interment of ashes will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will also be a Memorial Service and Mass held on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 11AM EDT at Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) Church in Park Ridge New Jersey.
