A well known and loved native of San Diego, there never seemed to be a place where he didn't know someone, or someone didn’t know him.
John graduated from Point Loma High School and went on to graduate from San Diego State University, with a degree in business. John worked in the restaurant and wine industries for decades and his personal and professional network of friends in and around San Diego was filled with the most wonderful people. From the Brigantine and Miguel’s restaurants, Robert Mondavi and Bianchi wineries, to Constellation working with Southern Wine and Spirits, anyone who knew John was positively impacted by his professionalism, wit and charm. He was an avid gardener with an affinity for palm trees. He was a positive example and caring friend to everyone. Simply put, he was one of the best.
