JANE B. NORBERG April 16, 1940 – Oct. 9, 2017 Jane B. Norberg, age 77, died at her home in San Diego on Monday, Oct. 9, after an extended illness. Jane was born in Petaluma, CA in 1940, grew up in Alameda, CA and moved to San Diego in 1964. She worked as an executive assistant at the Holiday Bowl, San Diego Chargers and San Diego Padres. Jane loved San Diego and spent much of her free time at the beach and enjoying strolls through Balboa Park. She was a generous friend to many and a supporter of many charitable organizations and causes. Preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Straub-Norberg and Forrest Norberg of Auburn, CA and brother, Tom Norberg, of Alameda, CA, Jane is survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Norberg; nieces Karen Straub and Cindy Basuino; nephew, Daryle Norberg; aunt, Carol Deghi , all of northern California; and many cousins and extended family. A memorial mass will be held Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at St. Brigid Parish, San Diego. Those wishing to make a donation in Jane’s memory can support the American Diabetes Association.
