Guadalupe Villaseñor, Gonzalez, affectionately known as Ama Lupe, passed away on September 29, 2024, in San Diego, California, at the age of 87. Born on December 28, 1936, in Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family and her faith.
Ama Lupe was a homemaker who not only raised her own children but also played a significant role in the upbringing of her grandchildren. Her home was a cornerstone of love and guidance, reflecting her strong will, kind heart, and loving nature. She was known for her sharp wit and a stern yet comforting presence that resonated within her family.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with her children, Margarita Virgen, Maria Teresa Rodriguez, Manuel Pedro Villaseñor, Ricardo Villaseñor, Gustavo Villaseñor, and Jose Villaseñor; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Ama Lupe was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel Villaseñor, her parents, Ramona Gonzalez Valle and Pedro Gonzalez, and her sister, Guillermina Densmore.
A devout Catholic, Ama Lupe was an active member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (OLSH) Church. Her faith was a vital part of her life, and she participated enthusiastically in her church's prayer group, sharing her spirituality and compassion with her community.
Travel was one of Ama Lupe's passions. She explored numerous countries, with memorable visits to Argentina, Italy, France, Chile, and her favorite destination, Jerusalem. She also enjoyed watching boxing and soccer, bringing her family together to cheer on her favorite teams and athletes.
The funeral services will be held at GoodBody Mortuary on October 9, 2024. Ama Lupe's final arrangements are being handled by GreenWood Memorial Park in San Diego, California, where her spirit will be lovingly cared for.
