Gilberto Garcia

Gilbert was born February 04, 1933 at Carpinteria, California. He was the son of the late Jose Garcia and the late Elvira Moreno.

Gilbert was a Veteran of the Korean War in the United States Air Force. Gilbert was employed by General Dynamics as a quality control inspector and retired after 30 plus years. Gilbert enjoyed woodwork, building model airplanes and crossword puzzles and loved sweets .Gilbert enjoyed taking care of his fruit trees , roses and his orchids, and,most of all, spending time with his family on our traditional Friday pizza nights.

Gilbert is survived by the mother of his children, his sons Richard & Robert, his daughters Lydia and Lupe (with her husband Ron). Also, he is survived by his grandchildren: Michael (with wife Eryn),Christopher, Sean, Brittney (with husband Colton), Matthew, Emily, Garrett , Patrick and Abigale

Arrangements are as followed

Mass will take place at 10am Tuesday, March 27th at Holy Spirit Church 2725 55th Street ,San Diego 92105 ; burial will follow immediately at Holy Cross Cemetery 4470 Hilltop Drive San Diego , CA 92102
