David Ronald Souza

It is with great sadness that the family of David Souza announces his passing after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the age of 77 years. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Mary and his sons David (Sandi) and Mike (Ronda). David will also be fondly remembered by his grandsons, David and Matthew. He is survived by his siblings August, Eileen Fernandes, Josephine Romero, Richard, Joanne Lauderback , and Robert as well as his cherished nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Herbert and parents August and Mary Louise.

David was a commercial fisherman for over 30 years followed by another 17 years at Kelco. David enjoyed family life and being involved with his sons and grandsons. Always putting his family's needs before his own, he will always be remembered as a loving, generous father and grandfather.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Oct 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, 1140 Evergreen St., San Diego, CA 92106. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or P.O. Box 1000, Dept.142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142
