Carolyn Denise (Moore) Martin, known to her family as "Denise," was born to the late Essie and Nellie R. Moore on June 4, 1953, in San Diego, CA. She was the second oldest of eight children, all of whom she shared a unique relationship with.
Denise attended Samuel B. Morse High School and had dreams and goals of being successful through hard work. Although becoming a young mother to Lamonda, Edwin "Coco," and Kenneth Jr. Martin, Denise was determined to be the best mother she possibly could by demonstrating great morals, values, and integrity. She took her duties as a mother to the highest heights and the greatest depths of her soul, with her children being her top priority, genuinely loving them with all her being.
Family and friends have always played a significant and prominent role in Denise's life. Within her gift of love and acceptance of all was her willingness to help, encourage, support, and defend. She was a loyal friend, confidant, and loved by everyone she met. She had a strength about her that only God could provide and a heart that could brighten up anyone's day.
During her spare time, Denise was a music lover, enjoying all genres of music, loved live concerts and staged plays, an avid reader, and a figurine art collector. In addition, she loved clothes shopping, and her sense of style cultivated the essence of a classy woman.
Denise had a strong work ethic and worked as a Communication Specialist at Palomar Hospital for 17 years. She loved her profession, forming close friendships and bonds. Denise attended the Rock Springs Congregation in Escondido, CA, until her untimely death and loved Jehovah and strived to please him. She relied heavily on Jehovah and trusted him in all things. Through this relationship with Jehovah, Denise displayed one of the things Jesus gave to us, unconditional love, which never wavered. She also believed in tough love, having the wisdom to know that it would be a seed that would bring change. Though sometimes, it may have seemed unorthodox. She continuously operated in love stood for what was right.
