Betty Fay Knott, born Betty Fay Boughton to Thelma L Boughton and Howard S Boughton on October 19th, 1930 at Mercy Hospital in San Diego. With her father being in the US Navy, she grew up in the Phillipine Islands, Norfolk Virginia, and here in San Diego California. She attended Hoover High School and graduated class of 1948. She married Ralph Ruth on October 20th, 1948 and had three children, Timothy, Daniel, and Joel. Betty and Ralph divorced in 1965. Betty went to work for Moody's Lunch Service in 1964 and drove a route in Point Loma. When the new food trucks came out she drove for Grandma's Kitchen. Betty married Morril (Bill) Knott July 1st, 1967. They bought a house in Sierra Mesa and lived there until 1990. After selling the house, they bought a travel trailer and travelled for several years until they settled in El Cajon. Betty went back to work at Moody's as a relief driver for a few years. Bill passed away on October 10th, 2008. Betty's favorite thing to do was volunteer at Kathy Ruth's Daycare and to watch her Grandkids and Great Grandkids. Betty is survived by her 3 sons, Timothy (Diane) Daniel (Kathy) and Joel (Kelly) as well as 5 grandkids Deandra, Erin, Monica, Dyan, and Anthony and 6 Great Grandkids Mikela, Brody, Sylar, Drew, Sam, and Emily. Betty passed away November 30th, 2016 and will be laid to rest December 14th, 2016 at 11am at El Camino Memorial Park. There will be a viewing on Tuesday December 13th, 2016 from 4-8pm.
