Audrey Alice Beeson

Audrey Alice Beeson went home to her Lord and Savior July 7, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family at home in La Jolla, CA at the time she passed. Audrey was 90 years old.

Audrey was born July 10, 1931 in El Centro, CA to Thomas and Kathryn Richardson. The second oldest of five siblings. Growing up and attending school in Imperial, Audrey met Marcus Beeson at the local skating rink. They were soon married and enjoyed 44 years of marriage before his passing in 1991. Audrey and Marcus raised three children in Brawley and spent some of their favorite family moments together camping, water skiing and fishing.

An Imperial Valley native, Audrey worked at the USDA Extension office and was employed by the Holly Sugar Corporation for 25 years.

An accomplished seamstress, Audrey enjoyed sewing for her family and friends in addition to blessing loved ones with her skills in quilting, knitting, needlepointing, and crocheting. Although her name was Audrey, everyone she met came to lovingly know and refer to her as “Grandma”.

Left to cherish Audrey’s memory are her daughter, Judy Beeson Villanueva (Benito), La Jolla, CA; sons, Stephen Beeson (Janelle), Pinetop AZ; Danny Beeson (Trish), Yuma AZ; her ten beautiful grandchildren Carly Slater Knutson, Chase Slater, Ellyson Slater Kobetsky, Jennifer Slater Hernandez, Stephanie Slater Sanders, Jessica Beeson Milburn, Michael Beeson, Danny Beeson, Cody Beeson, Tommy Beeson, many treasured great-grandchildren, sister Sharon Weverstad, brother Monte Richardson (Janet), numerous nieces and nephews, and the countless friends and lives Audrey has touched throughout her life. Audrey is predeceased by her husband Marcus M. Beeson, grandson Marcus A. Beeson, brother Troy Richardson, and sister Virginia L. Edwards.

There will be a private interment at Miramar National Cemetery where Audrey will be laid to rest with her husband, Marcus.
