Anthony "Tony" William Desio

A funeral service for Tony will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121.

Tony was born in the Bronx on February 2, 1930 to Oresto and Concetta DeSio. He was the first of 3 children with Robert and Diane following. After high school, Tony joined the Navy with one goal in mind, getting a college education. After the Navy he was accepted into the School of Engineering at UCONN. He completed his degree in 3 years and then moved to Santa Monica. CA to begin his career. While living in Santa Monica, Tony met the love of his life, Delores Lannie. They married on June 27th, 1959. They had 2 children, Darcy and Douglas.

Tony is survived by his wife Delores, children, Darcy and Douglas and son in law Tim, grandchildren, David, Aron and Toni, great granddaughters, Alice and Melanie, and sister Diane. Tony's close, extended family includes all of his nieces and nephews who were all by his side until his passing.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association and the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary.
