Willie Lou Watkins was born in Greenwood Mississippi on July 9, 1941, to Mose and Adele Watkins. Willie known to her family and friends as Bah, moved to San Bernardino, California at the age 11. Willie Lou is fondly remembered by her family for cooking, and especially her beans and corn bread, and caring for the younger children. Willie Lou was well known in the neighborhood for taking long walks and collecting cans as she walked.
She attended San Bernardino Adult School for Seniors. She loved to watch Western, Dennis the Menace, and Family Feud. Willie Lou loved to knit and would sit for hours making nothing special just keeping herself busy. Willie Lou was preceded in death by her siblings Ola Mae Ellison, Debbie Watkins, Richard Watkins, Nathaniel Watkins, and Annie Ree Watkins-Nash. Willie Lou is survived by her son Calvin Ray Harris. Sibling Ethel Chambers, Linda Davis, Edward Watkins of Muskegon Michigan, Clarence Watkins of Chicago, IL. And a host of Nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Willie Lou was cared for the past 12 years by her niece Robin Murdock McGee and husband Donald McGee.
