Nabarun Chakma

Nabarun Chakma was born April 1, 1967, in Khagrachari, Bangladesh, to Shantilika and Nilabrata Chakma. He graduated with Forestry Honors from the University of Chittagong in 1991. Shortly after, he served as ACF under the Bangladesh Government until 1995. That same year, he joined the prestigious BCS Income Tax Service, where he served as Assistant Commissioner, and eventually Deputy Commissioner for over a decade. In 2005, Nabarun immigrated to the United States with his family, settling in California. There, he continued to serve others through his work in nursing and health care. Nabarun will be remembered most for his bright, cheerful smile and his playful, joking nature. He brought passion and dedication to everything he did, especially in service to all communities. The care and sacrifices he made for his family will not be forgotten. He is survived by his loving wife Nana Chakma, and his affectionate children, Nicole, Nompen, and Norman Chakma.

A visitation for Nabarun will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 7:00 AM at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404.
