Helen Joan Ridley (Sassy) was born in Nashville, TN on January 24, 1933 to McKinley and Mildred Harding. She transitioned from this life on February 11, 2019 in Glendora, CA.
Helen was a Pearl High School (Nashville, TN) graduate. She moved to San Bernardino, CA over fifty years ago.
She was a stay at home mom to her daughter, Lurelia Grigsby and later retired as a Home Case Manager at a facility for individuals with disabilities.
Helen was a member of Clark Memorial United Methodist Church while she lived in Nashville, TH. She was a current member of St. Paul African Methodist Church in San Bernardino, CA. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 710 and the Elks Arrowhead Temple.
Helen will be eternally loved by her niece Rhonda L. Harris, grandchildren Melvin Grigsby and Aaliyah Grigsby, four great grandchildren, great niece Elizabeth Cecil (Monique McCurdy), great nephew Kristopher Cecil, friends Sandra and Ann, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter Lurelia Grigsby.
