Ekaterini Avramidis

Ekaterini Avramidis passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2017. She passed away in Loma Linda, California at the age of 90. Born in Soudeneika Patron, Greece on November 18th, 1926, she chose to come to the USA back in 1963 with her late husband Dimitrios Avramidis, to provide a future for her family. She is survived by her brother John Selberis and wife Georgia, as well as her sister Gloria Mantzoros and husband George. Ekaterini is also survived by her beloved children Georgia and Costas Gastouniotis, Rallou and Alex Chronopoulos, Angelo Avramidis, and Michael and Karen Avramidis.

Ekaterini had 9 grandchildren, Soterios, Theodoros, Theoni, Dimitrios, Dimitrios, Anastasios, Michael, Ekaterini, and Eleni. In addition, 6 great-children, Costa, Amalia, Alexios, Guillermo, Nasia, Mateo and many nieces and nephews.

Ekaterini was a long standing member of Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church since 1963. She dedicated herself to the Philoptochos Society as well as the Daughters of Penelope. Ekaterini was not just a great mother, and mentor, but one that gave all she could give to others.

Trisagion (Wake Service) to be held Monday, January 23, 2017 at Mt. View Mortuary and Cemetery at 7:00pm.

Funeral service will be held at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church at 11am and interment will follow at Mt. View Mortuary and Cemetery. The Makaria luncheon will be provided at the Prophet Elias hall following burial.
