Juan Escobedo

Juan loved riding horses and the ranch style life. When he came to live in Harlingen, where he lived most of his life, he worked on anything that he could get his hands on. Juan was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He loved being and spending time with his family. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing.

Juan was a very special man in our lives and will be truly missed.

Juan is survived by his wife of 64 years, Catalina Alvares de Escobedo; his children, Yolanda Garcia, Lilia Gonzalez, Everardo Escobedo, Juan Luis Escobedo, Catalina Escobedo, Arturo Escobedo, Rosa Elia Garcia, Armandina Garcia, and Edelmiro Escobedo.

He also leaves numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids.

Juan was preceded in death by his son, Jose Dario Escobedo; his daughters, Rosario Escobedo and Minerva Escobedo; his parents, Edelmiro Escobedo and Juanita Gonzalez; and his siblings, Guadalupe Escobedo, Edelmiro Escobedo, Esperanza Garcia, Rosaura Saldivar, Ninfa Gutierrez, and Lilia Saldivar.

A Visitation for Juan will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, Texas 78586 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 351 S Bowie St, San Benito, Texas 78586. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
