Yolanda was an active member of the Guadalupanas at St. Timothy Catholic Church. She enjoyed listening to Vicente Fernández while preparing tamales, chile rellenos and other meals for family and friends. She cherished playing bingo and lotería with her grandchildren.
Yolanda will be united with her parents; Genaro Garza and Flavia Lozano Garza, daughter; Maria Elena Vieira-Branco, grandson; Johnny Salazar Jr. and all of her siblings.
Yolanda’s memory will forever live in the hearts of her loving children; Fernando Garza, Martha Salazar (Johnny), Alma Rosa Garza-Rodriguez( Ernesto Jr.), Blanca Hernandez (Paul), Ana Maria Garza Cortez (Andres Jr.), Arturo Garza (Karla), Jose Luis Garza (Nancy), and her grandchildren; Blanca E. Vieira-Branco, Victor Vieira-Branco, Xiomara Garza, Nancy Esquivel, Ernest Fernando Garza, Veronica Wilson, Barbara Meras, Lori Hernandez, Esmeralda Hernandez, Lisa Lopez, Marcos Hernandez, Ariel Garza, Odette Garza, Joe Luis Garza Jr., Joseph Garza, Jesse James Garza, Diego Cortez, Evelia Cortez and her beloved friend Dora Sanchez as well as 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, Tx 78237 followed by a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home, Friday June 7, 2024 for an 11:00am. Mass at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo St, San Antonio, TX 78207. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery ll, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
