He is survived by his daughters, Yolanda R. Araujo, Linda C. Barrera (Horacio), Linda Diane Chandler (Michael), Belinda Muñoz, Alexandra Hernandez (Timo); grandchildren, Elizabeth Orozco (Gerard), Emily Araujo (David Garcia), Rebekah Barrera (John Davis), Michael Barrera, Elissa Barrera (Bryan Neeley), Anabel Aranda (Albert), Rafael Muñoz, Jr., Rebecca Smith (William), Cris Ann Coderoni (John), Glenda Aaron (Scott +), Timo Hernandez IV (Emily); great grandchildren, Therese Orozco, Aaden Aranda, Aliana Aranda, Andrew Aranda, Bryan Patterson and numerous others.
Willard enjoyed spending time with his beloved family telling jokes and sharing stories. He loved doing woodwork, gardening and he was an avid reader. He was also a proud World War II Veteran having served in Germany during German Occupancy. After which, he came to reside in Brownsville, Texas, working in the shrimping business for more than 30 years. Thereafter, he came to reside in San Antonio, Texas, with his daughter and family.
On Monday, April 8, 2019 a funeral procession will depart Sunset Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. for a committal service to be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
