Virginia Hernandez

Virginia Hernandez born August 7, 1929 in Calcite, CO went Home September 11, 2016. She served alongside her husband, Rev. Martin Hernandez, in the Church of the Nazarene for 49 years. Virginia Hernandez was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers.

She is survived by Margarita Velasquez, sister; Ben Espinoza, brother; Ruth Garcia (Fructuoso), daughter; Martin A. Hernandez (Lupe) son and Rev. Abiel Hernandez (Lynn). Grandchildren: Dr. Daniel Garcia (Elena), Phillip Garcia (Cindy), Teresa Espinoza (Thomas), Danielle Nunez (Obed), Tiffany Hernandez, and Brittany Hernandez. Eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio TX on September 15, 2016 at 7pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 16, 2016 at 10:00am at Church of Nazarene, 1418 W. Woodlawn. Rev. Terry Krebs will be officiating at the interment at Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, Sister Virginia would like for donations to be made to CrossRoads Christian Academy.
