Sue Beck

Sue Beck, born July 29, 1944, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2011. Sue was born in Norfolk, VA and was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Wake of Corpus Christi, TX. She was an active member of Trinity Methodist Church, sang in the choir and participated in the questors class. Recently retired from JCPenney after 25 years of service, she found joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Sue is survived by her husband Elmer Beck of San Antonio; four children, Lisa Taylor of San Antonio, Keri Beck Covey and spouse Jeff of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Beck of Malvern, AR and Van Beck and spouse Valerie of North Little Rock, AR. Sue is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jeremy and Jonathan Cade of San Antonio, TX, Andrea and Alexandrea Taylor of San Antonio, TX, Amber Covey of Jacksonville, FL, Rachael and Maren Beck of North Little Rock, AR. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:00am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 6800 Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78240. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Youth Fund, and/or Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, TX.
