She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Inman and husband, Gerald of St. Louis, Mo; children, Ron Rogers and wife, Celeste of St. Hedwig, Tx.; and Mark Rogers and wife, Nancy of League City, Tx.; grand children, Nicole Sommer and husband, Jacob; Tim Rogers and wife, Melissa; Jonathan Rogers and wife, Mackenzie; Katie Weems and husband, Matt; and Jenny Miles and husband, Scott; great grandchildren, Abigail, Christian, Makenzie, Addison, Brody, Chloe, Everett, Owen, and James.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Shirley was born on October 3, 1932 to Gene and Marie Pautler. She attended Rosati-Kain girls Catholic High School in St. Louis, before graduating and eventually marrying her husband, James. They were married 67 years.
During her life she was a full time homemaker, military wife, and mother of three boys. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, and traveling. She attended and supported her sons in all of their sports activities, and held many military luncheons and parties.
Shirley was preceded in passing by her parents; brother, Lester Meek; husband, James Rogers, and son, James Eugene Rogers.
Shirley was a longtime member of St. Helena’s Catholic Church in San Antonio, Tx. Visitation for Shirley Ann Rogers will be Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 11:30- 1:30 at Sunset Funeral Home in San Antonio, Tx. Internment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetary at 2:30.
