The oldest of three daughters, Shelli was born July 17, 1973, to Frank & Barbara Ferguson. She attended MacArthur High School, graduating with her fellow Brahmas in 1991, and went on to continue her education at UTSA, before working in property management for 20 years. She was a dedicated volunteer for the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo for more than 25 years.
Known for her incredibly giving nature and contagious laugh, Shelli combined her loves of cowboy culture, family and traveling to create beautiful memories at her favorite destinations – Wyoming, Las Vegas and New Mexico – along with annual family coast trips. Her weekly adventures with the two brightest stars in her life, nephews Max and Jase, filled her photo archives. She was a smiling, supportive friend to all who met her, and a constant source of support for her parents, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were like family. Whether shopping, enjoying new restaurants or listening to country music, Shelli was always ready to go -- giggling and celebrating life with those around her.
Shelli is preceded in death by grandparents John & Katherine Ferguson and Willie Guy & Elise Alexander, her uncle and aunt Jerry & Gwen Alexander, and Aunt Nelda DiPonzio.
Shelli is survived by many loving family members – her parents Frank & Barbara Ferguson, sister Sherri (& Trey) Bailey, sister Shanna (& Jason) Gnadt, nephews Max Bailey and Jase Gnadt, uncle and aunt John & Bonnie Ferguson, Aunt Dorothy Smith, uncle and aunt Kim & Kathy Ferguson, and many loving cousins.
Pallbearers will be Trey Bailey, Jason Gnadt, Jason Farias, Max Bailey, Jonah Farias and Caleb Farias.
The Ferguson family wishes to share their sincere thanks to everyone who has shown their support during this difficult time. Shelli will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
