July 2, 1991 – December 5, 2024
After a courageous and determined battle with cancer, Sean Christopher Madison passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 5, 2024, with his beloved wife Tanyn by his side.
Born in Austin, Texas, to Diane Smith and Robert Madison, Sean grew up as a tall, lanky kid who eventually became a tall, lanky man with a larger-than-life presence. It is impossible to fully capture the essence of who Sean was—as a person, a friend, a mechanic, a husband, and a father. He was hands-on, kind-hearted, adventurous, and endlessly loving. He had a way of making people laugh with his goofy sense of humor, and his intelligence and compassion touched everyone who knew him. Whether he was cuddling his young son, Elliott, rolling around on the floor with his nieces and nephews, working tirelessly on his race car, or hitting the road for a drift event, Sean lived life to the fullest, with passion and enthusiasm.
To know Sean was to love him. His infectious spirit and the deep love he shared with his wife, Tanyn, will forever live on in his son, Elliott.
Sean is preceded in death by his mother, Diane, and father, Robert. Sean’s memory will live on in his wife, Tanyn; his son Elliott Bhaer; and many extended family members across the country. His family would especially like to acknowledge his cousins, Denise and Vince Humphries and Wade and Tanya Russell; his mother-in-law Teresa Roszkowski; his sisters – and brothers-in-law; and his nieces and nephews for the impact they had on Sean’s life.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 16 at 1 p.m. at Christian Life Austin - 4700 West Gate Blvd, Austin, TX 78745.
Tanyn and Elliott ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Texas Oncology Foundation.
