Sarah McGloflin Schmidt, born on May 11, 1923 in Bauxite, Arkansas, to Virginia and Sam McGloflin was called home to be with the Lord, on August 14, 2017 at the age of 94, in San Antonio, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sarah proudly served her country in the U.S. Coast Guard. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert E. Schmidt. Sarah is survived by her loving children; Marie Narveson (Gerry), Marsha Schmidt, Glenn Schmidt (Mary), grandchildren; Nicholas, Erica, Hurley, Molly, great grandchildren; Aaron, Zuri, Nathannial, Joe, Chance, Hunter, Colton, Maddie, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers: Molly Schmidt, Debbie Gutierrez, Erica Schmidt, Chris Schmidt, Harley Schmidt, Nicholas Narveson.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. A Graveside Service will be held at 9:15 am on Friday, August, 18, 2017 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
