Ruby Helen Pierson

Ruby Helen Pierson, age 91, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Ruby was born August 7, 1930, in the Denhawken Community near Stockdale, Texas, to her parents William H. and Ruth Stahl Wehmeyer. She married Jack L. Pierson of Marysville, Kansas, in 1955. Ruby was a lifetime member of the Women's Auxiliary of Disabled American Veterans, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and a member of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas, were she was an active member of the LWML.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband Jack; her daughter, Kathlyn Jo Pierson; her granddaughter, Jennifer Welch; her sister, Evelyn Baer; and her brothers, William Wehmeyer Jr. and M. G. Wehmeyer. She is survived by her children Jacquelyn K. Welch (Ira Joe Welch) and Brian E. Pierson; her brothers, B. C. Wehmeyer of San Antonio and Freddie L. Wehmeyer of Laguna Park (Linda); 5 of her grandchildren Jo Michele Pierson, Melisa Marcum, Krystal Welch, Patrick Welch and Brenda Welch; and 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Ruby will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 6914 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78240. A funeral service will occur Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM also at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church, with a graveside service following at Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH 10 W, San Antonio, Texas 78257
