Rosa M. Sanchez, 90, went to be with her Lord on August 19, 2017. She was born in San Marcos, Texas to Fausto and Maria Rubio Murillo on January 27, 1927. She has been retired for 33 years from USAA. Rosa loved searching for words in her word find puzzles, western movies, her “boles”, mariachi music and every Friday night she looked forward to going out to dinner with her Laredo family. She is preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters, and her husband: Sigifredo Sanchez, whom she always longed for the day when she would see him again. She is survived by her children: Rose (Perry) Ramon-Barrs, Bobbi (Juan) Martinez, Nora (Serafin) Roman, Richard (Nydia) Sanchez, and Ruben (Sharon) Sanchez; 13 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren, with one on the way.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers 515 N. Main Ave from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Ceremony will be on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 1:30 p.m., at San Fernando II Chapel.
