Our beloved Rodolfo A. Ybarra Sr. (Tony), age 44, went home to Jesus October 18, 2021 in San Antonio, TX. He was born in Ft. Hood, Texas on January 7, 1977 to Rodolfo V. Ybarra and Maria Ybarra Martinez. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His vivacious and giving spirit will be missed by many.
For many years Tony was a light in his church community, he had a servant's heart with a passion to lead people to Christ. Tony proudly served as the A.C.T.S. core president at St. John the Evangelist and was honored to be an Officer in the Knights of Columbus. Tony also enjoyed his career in car sales working as a finance manager.
Tony's hobbies included fishing, gaming, arranging gatherings, cheering for his San Francisco 49ers, and pouring his heart and soul into his nieces and nephews. There truly wasn’t anything that Tony wouldn't do for them.
Tony always gave to those in need. Tony impacted everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those he encountered feel important and special. Anyone who knew Tony was touched by his kindness. He was a peacemaker and was always a source of positivity. Tony lived an extraordinary life surrounded by people who loved him and will always be immensely treasured.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo V. Ybarra.
He is survived by his son, Rodolfo A. Ybarra Jr.; mother, Maria Ybarra Martinez; step-father, Martin A. Martinez; brother, Robert Ybarra (Anna); sister, Felicia Luna (Ruben); brother, Rudy Ybarra (Vanessa); Nieces, Gabriella Luna, Sunni Ybarra, Olivia Ybarra, Rachel Ybarra, Vivian Ybarra, Ruby Ybarra; Nephews, Gabriel Luna, Roman Luna, Ricco Luna, Diego Ybarra; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Visitation will be at 6 pm, Wednesday, October, 27, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy San Antonio, TX 78218 with the Rosary to follow at 7 pm.
The Funeral Mass will be at 10 am, Thursday, October 28, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 4603 St. Johns Way, San Antonio, TX 78212.
