Rebecca worked for H.E.B for many years, she worked in the warehouse several years, plus also worked at the store on Pleasanton Road, in the bakery department and in loss prevention. Rebecca was a great mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking and baking, often baked great cakes, cookies and pies, best of all would fry up some great Bunuelos. Everyone looked forward to her tamales and cookies every year at Christmas, which was enjoyed by all her children, and some extended family. She truly worked hard to ensure that we had a great holiday. Rebecca was a devout Catholic, attended St. Bonaventure church, was extremely spiritual, part of the Cursillo and Charismatic Movements, she was happiest when she was in prayer for others, singing in the Church choir, or volunteering her time to the church. Rebecca also took time to pray for others in the community when called upon. In her spare time, you could find her at the Goodwill shopping and making friends. She could spend hours upon hours shopping. She also loved to watch action movies. And always finished all your snacks. She was a jokester and if you got her, she'd say, "you turkey." She will be missed and was loved by many.
God came knocking at the door
He said:
Come child, suffer no more
Come with me to this new place
Here you will see a familiar face
You will see loved ones who have passed along
Stand before you bold and strong
Be not scared of this new place
For this place is filled with grace
Loved ones who have stayed behind
Know that when it is your time, she will greet you first in line
It's time for you to sit next to me
So, sit back, relax and be worry free
