Raymond E. “Ray” Rosales was welcomed into the Eternal Kingdom on December 19, 2017. A devoted husband and father, he was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 8, 1929. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Micaela Marshall, Brother Jesse Rosales and Armando Benavides. He leaves behind a loving wife of 67 years, Christine Rosales; son, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Ray Rosales (Blanca); daughter Gloria Castanon (Jesse); six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
His achievements in life include being a 1947 graduate of Fox-Tech High School. He was also the very first Hispanic Executive Administrator in North America for the Builders Exchange of Texas. He proudly served and retired with 28 years of military service at the rank of Master Sergeant (E-8) from the 90th ARCOM at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus at St. John Berchman’s Catholic Church.
Raymond was the man who was always smiling; be happy to shake your hand and would always bring out the best in people. Everyone he met was his friend. He was a servant to the Lord, Jesus Christ and now peacefully rests in the arms of his Creator.The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Thursday, January 4, 2017at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78226. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
